Looking for advice on behalf of the groom – Is there a telephone line?

He wants a board for the work they do – in terms of things as the periods of notice, if you get a bad reference, etc. He suffers from anxiety and time a job has changed completely from what he has accepted. Is there a line phone that can call for advice to pass it? He asked council to communicate with citizens, but I can not find a phone number them – all seem to be attending the centers. Is there another site that can help? I am in England by road. I can not find helplines for Scotland: (

Tell him to call ACAS http://www.acas.org.uk/index.aspx?articleid=1461 called them before, when I got redundant. They were very helpful and provide free information on labor law.
