Knee pain, its causes and treatments

The knee is made to bend in one direction, with the knee forward. When the foot rolls too (Pronation), however, the leg rotates the opposite leg. This causes the knee to function while inward. In this position, every step is focus on the knee. If knee pain is due to the mechanics of the foot, orthotics can be a very effective way to relieve your symptoms.

Teenagers often have a pain in the knee, and one of the most common causes is a condition in which the name sounds worse than the disease – Osgood-Schlatter disease. This condition characterized by an increased sensitivity hump in the top of the tibia (leg bone) of a few centimeters below the patella (kneecap). The pain is usually aggravated by exercise, jumping and using measures. In about 50 percent of cases, both knees are involved.

It causes pain in the knee

It important to understand the benchmarks of these two ligaments. The medial collateral ligament pain refers to the leg big toe and the lateral collateral ligament pain refers at the foot side. The ligaments in the knee called the anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments. These ligaments help stabilize the knee forward and avoid excessive recoil.

Mechanical alignment and stability problems with the patella

The patella is a small piece of bone from the sub-surface has the form a shallow valley and covered with a thick layer of articular cartilage. This articulates with a groove in a similar way to the bottom end of the femur. The shape of the bone is very variable and the ball can not be kept in position by a delicate balance of powerful front knee muscles. One of the most common causes of problems with the ball is when the balance is disturbed. The more severe the disease when he dislocated the kneecap due to its slot and then must be physically implemented. This condition is easy to recognize.

Torn cartilage (meniscus tear) – can cause joint pain inside or outside of the knee

Torn ligament (ACL) – leads to pain and instability of the knee

Strain or sprain – minor injuries to the ligaments caused by sudden twist or against nature

Treatment of knee pain

Drug
Physiotherapy
Arthroscopy (cleaning the joint)
knee joint fluid supplements

TREATMENT – Physical therapy is essential for treatment, rehabilitation and prevention of most conditions affecting the knee joint and its surrounding support structures. Physical therapy for knee pain often includes ice and elevation and toning muscle exercises.

Limitations of the activity – to speed recovery and protect against future knee damage, activities that impact or jar the joint cartilage or twist the supporting ligaments should be avoided temporarily. Activities that involve repetitive bending (particularly beyond 45-50 degrees or even half) should be attempted with caution.

Nonsurgical treatment of knee pain

The head is covered by back with the thickest layer of articular cartilage of all joints in the body. Erosion of this cartilage is called chondromalacia patella. X-rays, is considered a decrease in the amount of cartilage in the kneecap. It can be caused by trauma or occur spontaneously. If the patella fracture, pain may persist after healing of the fracture. Prolotherapy, a nonsurgical alternative for excellent knee surgery to relieve all this pain.
