Strategies for time management for the syndrome of modern life

Warning … attention … … focus … Easy to say but hard to do when both are competing for your attention. Why it is so difficult to master these basics?

Ever ever stop to think how to fight for your attention? Imagine for a moment:

Opening a web page
dialog boxes pop-up to run away to
– Multiple ads and screaming colors

Driving on the freewaybillboards everywhere
radio ads – interrupt the traffic report
– The sound of your cell phone

Watch your favorite TV show
– Announcements of other floating Entertainment
bands of information – weather displacement and political ads

All this is before you get to the office. The pace of continuing professional maturity treat vertigo and constant interruptions. The Final results are often that you have to work late, take work home with you, or arrive early. You get tired and stressed, which makes it even harder to concentrate.

I read one person who had left the office and go sit in his car when he had some papers he needed to absorb and decide on. It was simply impossible for him to concentrate in the office.

Symptoms Almost everyone today is a demonstration similar to those related with the diagnosis of AD. If you suffer from syndrome of modern life or ADD, it is necessary to employ methods that reduce distractions and increase productivity. Strategies are similar:

1. Prioritize your work before leaving the office every day. Be removed only 20-30 minutes of sorting through the piles before starting tomorrow. The time of the morning are the most privileged of energy, and you do not want to lose these blocks of time trying to decide where they should be developed.

2. Plan a block of time with limited interruptions. Put this on your calendar to stick to it. Use this time to its most important work has focused.

3. Follow the causes interruptions. Do this for two weeks so you can begin to see patterns. Who are you interrupting? How many times? What time of day? Once you find the routines, you can begin to eliminate some of these distractions.

4. Do not leave the control of management e-mail per day. It is too easy to become absorbed in your inbox overflows and waste time. Set Specific blocks of time when you focus on e-mail alone.

If you do not stop now to make changes, the result can be a significant overhead due to the constant tension. Stress is responsible for many of our diseases, colds and flu to heart disease. When they are not willing to take a step back and make adjustments, you can stop a situation they have no control.

Is it better to choose their priorities and be more productive in the process, before the ability to choose is taken away from you?
